Beach Head for Credaro Wines, Australia
The challenge was to create a wine label design that would feel new and fresh, with a laid-back appeal but classy and elegant.
Before the redesign, the Beach Head label contained realistic graphics evocative of the beach with a sandy background and starfishes organically scattered over the surface.
The approach seemed too literal and of-putting by dissociation for those consumers who, lets just say, didn't party on the beach.
With the new design, this association is toned down, leaving just a subtle hint of fun and casualness.
The beach theme being more vague, is still present through the geometric and minimalistic waves in the silver pattern on top, the curved label cut, and an overall coastal color theme.
Without the distractions of the literal approach, the wine now feels more universally relatable and thus overall more desirable.
420 Event VODKA, USA
420 Event Vodka came along with a broader line of beverages under the 420 brand.
The goal was to create a hip and modern bottle design, with a fresh and festive look and a variety of fruity flavors.
Each of these bottles is color & flavor-named.
The presence of a graphic stripe with the fruit at the bottom of each bottle completes the design.
The design proposal was rendered in Photoshop, as the bottles were yet to be ordered with the manufacturing company.
The rendering suggests a slightly frosted bottle for a chill effect, with the design printed directly on the glass.
The monochromatic design comes to life when the entire line is on display.
Each bottle stands out individually through the elegant simplicity of the oversized type.
